Jake Sonnevelt is the owner, operator and founder of Barefoot Guide Service. He has been on the water from a very early age and has an unmatched passion for fishing. He knows many lakes across North Texas but considers Lake Lewisville to be home, he has also spent countless hours finding all the honey holes for every species in the lake. Jake firmly believes in the fishing lifestyle that has been passed down to him and has also been fortunate enough to gain his fishing knowledge from some of the best Older Timers that have ever wet a line. Not only has Jake fished all across the country in the freshwater for the species that he guides for, but he has also found an addiction in the salt water chasing the drag peeling thrills from Southern Texas, Florida, The Northeast and even the crystal clear waters of the Dominican Republic. During those trips he has usually gains new knowledge and fishing tactics  to bring back to his guide service to teach to his clients during their time on the water together. 

Jake's greatest accomplishment in life will always be becoming a dad to his daughter Tatum, whom has been on the boat with him since she was 2 weeks old and as of right now, might just have the fishing bug worse which nobody ever thought would be possible!
